As always, the holidays have snuck up on us! In preparation for the holidays, our ‘Fun Rehearsal’ for November was a recipe swap night. On the 8th of the month, members were encouraged to bring a recipe to rehearsal - maybe something that they are known for making, something that is a family tradition, or maybe something that is culturally important to them. Or just whatever they might have - if they didn’t have any recipes to share, then they would sure be able to get some at rehearsal to take home! After rehearsal there were a few minutes dedicated to sharing recipes, taking photos, or making notes.
On the 11th of November, three of our members set out across the border to attend the fall music school on the 12th. What a great educational experience! And of course they took notes to bring back to the rest of the chorus. There were no issues crossing the border, and they only got lost once! It feels great to finally get back to doing the things we associate with a year in the life of a Sweet Adeline.
We have spent the rest of the month preparing for our one scheduled holiday performance in December - and using some tips and tricks from Peggy Gram!
Below are some photos from our recipe swap, and fall music school.
